ಕವಿನುಡಿ  “ಇರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇರದುದರೆಡೆಗೆ ತುಡಿವುದೆ ಜೀವನ”

ಕನ್ನಡದ ನವ್ಯಕಾವ್ಯದ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಕರು ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಂ.ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅಡಿಗರ `ಯಾವ ಮೋಹನ ಮುರಳಿ ಕರೆಯಿತು ಭಾವಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಅಪರೂಪ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೆ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಭಾವಗೀತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ಈ ಭಾವಗೀತೆಯ ಕೊನೆಯ ಸಾಲು ಮೇಲಿನದು. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಖಭೋಗಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಓಡುವ, ಏನನ್ನೋ ಹುಡುಕುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈ ಕವಿತೆ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕವಿತೆಯ ಕೊನೆಯ ಸಾಲು `ಇರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇರದುದರೆಡೆಗೆ ತುಡಿವುದೆ ಜೀವನ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಅಥವಾ ಕೇಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸ್ವಭಾವದ ಒಂದು ವಿಶ್ವಾತ್ಮಕ ಗುಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಮುದುಕರವರೆಗೂ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವ ಮಾತಿದು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚಿಂತೆ. ಇದೇಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ? ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸುವವರ್‍ಯಾರು?

Poet speak : `iruvudellava bittu iradudaredege thudivude jeevana’(Is ignoring what is available and pining for what is not available the fate of human beings?).

This is a line penned by the great Kannada modern poet M. Gopalakrishna Adiga. He ends one of his famous lyrical poem `yava mohana murali kareyithu’ with this particular line. In fact, the whole poem speaks about the restlessness of a human soul, which longs for something beyond this world, in the midst of worldly pleasures. Therefore the ending line is apt to convey the intended meaning of the poem. By way of the search in this literary journey, poet Adiga draws the reader’s attention to the eternal restless search of a human being for what he does not have though he has many and plenty in his hands! This is a real mystery in the human nature.
