ಆಕಾಶ ನೋಡಕ್ಕೆ ನೂಕಾಟ ಯಾತಕ್ಕೆ?

ಇದು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಒಂದು ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರವಾದ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು. ನಾವು ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು ನಮಗೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಆಕಾಶ ನೋಡಲಿಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ತಳ್ಳಿ ನೂಕಾಡಿ ನೋಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಏನಿದೆ? ಆರಾಮವಾಗಿ ಆಕಾಶ ನೋಡಬಹುದಲ್ಲವೇ? ಇದೇ ಈ ಗಾದೆಯ ಅರ್ಥ. ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆಯೇ ಗೋಚರವಾಗುವ ಈ ಅರ್ಥದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮರ್ಮ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಯಾವುದಾದರೊಂದು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆಯವರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿ, ನೂಕಿ, ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಸೂಯೆ ಪಟ್ಟು ಒದ್ದಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿಕ್ಕುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವೇನಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿದೆ, ನಡೆದಷ್ಟೂ ದಾರಿಯಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ, ಅರಾಮವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಇರುವಲ್ಲೇ ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿ ಆಕಾಶ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಡಿಗೆ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಬಹುದು.

Kannada proverb: Aakasha nodakke nookaata yaathakke? (Where is the need to push and pull each other to have a look at the sky?)

There is no need to push or pull any one, for us to have a look at the sky. It is right above our head. If we just lift our head we can behold the sky. In the same way, if we have to achieve something in any field, we need not have to compete with others in an unhealthy way. The universe is big enough and abundant. It can accommodate all of us. We need not have to wrestle and take pains to push others away to have our way. There is enough room for every one of us in this vast universe.
