ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು –    ಹಣ ಕಂಡ್ರೆ ಹೆಣಾನೂ ಬಾಯಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೆ‌. 

ಒಂದು  ಉತ್ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ  ಲೋಕವ್ಯವಹಾರದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ಇದು.

ಹಣವೆನ್ನುವುದು ಜನರ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿ‌. ಒಂದು ಬೆಂಕಿಪೊಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ದೊಡ್ಡಬಂಗಲೆಯ ತನಕ ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾದರೂ ಹಣ ಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಕು. ಹಣ ಇದೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥ ಇಡೀ ಲೋಕದ ಭೌತಿಕ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ  ಖಜಾನೆಯ  ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆಗೆಯಿತು ಎಂದೇ ಅರ್ಥ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಜನರು ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಹುವಾಗಿ ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹರಸಾಹಸ ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜನ ನೇರಮಾರ್ಗ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ವಾಮಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಾದರೂ ಸಹ ಹಣ ಗಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯವೇ ತಾನೇ.‌ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಹಣದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅತಿಯಾಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜರು ಹಣ ಕಂಡ್ರೆ ಹೆಣಾನೂ ಬಾಯಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೆ ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿರಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Money becomes a primary attraction to a human being in usual circumstances. One needs money to buy even a petty thing as a match box or a big thing like a posh bungalow. Since the ‘quality of life’ depends on the money one has, man’s desire for money keeps on increasing. Man sometimes becomes corrupt in a desire to have more money. Our ancestors sensed this and so they created this proverb. This wise saying serves as a warning and also a word of common sense in the matters of money.
