ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತು‌ – ಬಾವಿ ಬಳಸದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟಿತು, ನೆಂಟಸ್ತಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಬಾವಿಯೊಂದರ ನೀರು ಯಾವಾಗ ಕುಡಿಯಲು, ಮೀಯಲು ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಮುಂತಾದವನ್ನು  ತೊಳೆಯಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಜನರು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ. ಇರುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದು, ಹೊಸ ನೀರು ಬಾವಿಯಾಳದ ನೀರಿನ ಸೆಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರು ಬಳಸಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.‌ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ನೆಂಟಸ್ತನಗಳು ಉಳಿಯುವುದು ನಾವು ಅವನ್ನು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ. ಅಂದರೆ ಆಗಾಗ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರದ ಮಾತಾಡುವುದು, ಕಷ್ಟಸುಖ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದು, ಪರಸ್ಪರರ ಮನೆಯ ಸಮಾರಂಭಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದು ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಒಬ್ಬರು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರ ಆಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಒದಗುವುದು – ಇಂತಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ನೆಂಟಸ್ತಿಕೆ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ, ನೆಂಟರೊಡನೆ ಮಾತೇ ಆಡದೆ, ಅಪರೂಪಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಸಹ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವನ್ನೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನೆಂಟಸ್ತನ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.‌

ಎಷ್ಟು ಅರ್ಥಗರ್ಭಿತವಾದ ಗಾದೆಮಾತಿದು! ಅಲ್ಲವೆ?

Kannada proverb – Baavi balasade kettitu, nentasthana nadesade kettithu( The groundwell degenrarated due to lack of use and the relationship got spoiled due to lack of manitainance). 

It is a known fact that only the water of often used waterbodies like groundwells stays fresh. If we do not use the water of the well for a long time, the water gets contaminated and ends up being useless for consumption. In similar lines, only those of the realationships stay alive in which some contact exists. No contact, no relationship. 

The proverb throws light onto a very important fact of life. Isn’t it?
