ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ಕಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಈಡೇರಲ್ಲ.

ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಅವನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ತಾನಾಗಿ ಬಂದುಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ‌.  ಅವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಬಹಳ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಪಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.‌  ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅಂಕಗಳ ಗಳಿಕೆ, ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಹಂತ ಪಡೆಯುವಿಕೆ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಹತೆ, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಾರ್ಹ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ – ಇವೆಲ್ಲಕ್ಕೂ ಛಲ ಬಿಡದ ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಬೇಕು‌.‌ ‘ಇಲ್ಲ, ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಡಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎನ್ನುವವರಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸೆಂಬ ದೇವತೆ ಒಲಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ಒಂದು ವಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಯಶಗಳಿಕೆಯ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ ಅನ್ನಬಹುದು‌.

Kannada proverb – Kashavillade ishta eederalla ( Without taking pains, our wishes won’t be fulfilled).

We human beings have many wishes and desires.  But to fulfill them we need to work hard. The things we desire won’t fall on our lap by themselves. Whether it is high marks in our school/college examinations, promotions in our jobs, higher education, status in society, whatever it may be..it needs hard work. There is a similar saying in English –  ‘no pain no gain’. Therefore we must say that this proverb expresses a truth of life, which we can not afford to forget.
