ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ಅಳಿಲು ಏರಿದರೆ ಅರಳಿಮರ ಅಲ್ಲಾಡೀತೆ?

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಒಂದು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ಇದು. ಪುಟಾಣಿ ಅಳಿಲೊಂದು ಏರಿದರೆ ಬೃಹತ್ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಅರಳಿಮರ ಅಲ್ಲಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಭಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವವರು, ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾರದ ಟೀಕೆಗಳು, ನಾಲಗೆ ಸಡಿಲ ಇರುವವರು ಆಡುವ ಅಬದ್ಧ ಮಾತುಗಳು, ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾ ಬರುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವ ಸಣ್ಣ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ-ಕಷ್ಟಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಲೆ ಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು, ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಚಲಿತರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬಾರದು, ಅರಳಿಮರದಂತೆ ಅವರು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಅಲ್ಲವೆ?  ಒಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಜೀವನಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಈ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೆ.

Kannada proverb – Alilu eridare Arali mara alladeethe? ( Will the Peepal tree shake if a squirrel climbs on it?).

A Peepal tree is big and strong..it won’t be shaken up if a small squirrel climbs on it. Likewise a dedicated person who is striving for success should not be shaken by petty, silly and thoughtless comments made by people around them or small daily difficulties of life which arise from time to time. This way, the proverb teaches us a very important life skill. Isn’t it?
