ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ಯುಕ್ತಿಯ ಮಾತು  ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದಾದರೂ ತಿಳ್ಕೋ‌

ಜೀವನವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನೂಹ್ಯ ಎಂಬುದು ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧ ವಯಸ್ಕರಿಗೂ, ಒಂದಲ್ಲ‌ ಒಂದು ಸಲ  ಭಾಸವಾಗಿಯೇ ಆಗುವ  ಸತ್ಯ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ವಿನಯ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಮನ:ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೀವನದ ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ ಏರುತಗ್ಗುಗಳ ಪಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಧಾರಗಳಾಗಬಲ್ಲವು. ಕಲಿಕೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದಾದಾಗ ನಾವು ಕಲಿಸುವವರ ವಯಸ್ಸು, ವಿದ್ಯೆ, ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನ ನೋಡದೆ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು‌. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ವಯಸ್ಕ ಜೀವನದ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಚಿತರಾಗದ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಗು, ನಗು, ಸರಳ-ಮುಗ್ಧ ಮನೋನೆಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಜೀವನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ನೂತನ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು, ಮತ್ತು ಕಠಿಣ ಅನ್ನಿಸುವ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲರು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯ (ಯುಕ್ತಿಯ) ಮಾತನ್ನು ‘ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದಾದರೂ ತಿಳ್ಕೋ’ ಎಂಬ ಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಕಿವಿಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದೆ.

Life being so unpredictable and complex,  the attitude of eternal learning is our only solace. Therefore we should make it a point to keep learning. Whether it is a child, villager or an old man they might have something valuable to teach. Children especially can have a way of looking at life with fresh eyes, therefore they can make good teachers. Therefore this proverb is teaching us something which is very wise and sensible.
