ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ಅಡಿಗೆ ಬಲ್ಲವನ ಹೆಂಡ್ತಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು, ಕೆಲಸ ಬಲ್ಲವನ‌ ಆಳಾಗಬಾರದು.

ಅಡಿಗೆ ಬಲ್ಲ ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದ ಹೆಂಗಸರ ಪಾಡು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಬೇಡ. ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ‘ಹೀಗಿರಬೇಕಿತ್ತು, ಹಾಗಿರಬೇಕಿತ್ತು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪ್ಪು ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಆಯ್ತು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಖಾರ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಯ್ತು, ಸಿಹಿತಿಂಡಿ ಮಾಡೋ ಹದಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ನಿಂಗೆ”…..ಹೀಗೆ ಒಂದಲ್ಲ ಒಂದು ಟೀಕಾಪ್ರಹಾರ ಆಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ, ಆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ.‌ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದರೆ ಆ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರನಿಗೂ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ‘ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ’ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಟೀಕೆ-ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿ ತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ.‌ ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ನಿಜ ಜೀವನದ ಒಂದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯಅನುಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೆ. ಅಲ್ಲವೆ?

Kannada proverb : Adige ballavana hendathiyagabaaradu,  kelasa ballavana aalagabaradu (Don’t end up being the wife of a man who knows cooking, and do not work under a man who knows the job).

 It is observed in the course of life that if a woman has a husband who himself is a good cook, she can never get appreciation for her cooking. Similarly, if you become the servant of a man who knows the job, you are susceptible to the continuous corrections and comments he will be making. Therefore, this proverb depicts the reality one faces in life.
