ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ನಾಯಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರೆ ನಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳ್ತು.

ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಕೆಲಸ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಬಿಡುವಿದ್ದರೂ ತಾವು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಆ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೋ, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೋ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೋ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದುಂಟು‌.  ಹೀಗಾದಾಗ ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಆಗೇ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಖಾತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲು  ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ತಾವು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ/ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಜಾರಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ನೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ನಂಬಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಆಗದು‌. ಇಂತಹ ವರ್ತನೆಯು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಶೋಭೆ ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕೊಡಲೆಂದೇ ಈ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು ತುಸು ಕಟುಶಬ್ದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿತವಾಗಿದೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೆ.

There are some people who don’t take their  assigned work seriously. If you assign them some work, instead of doing it in a speedy and earnest way, they mindlessly assign it to any which  person they can think of! It can be their colleague, subordinate,  family member or even an unconcerned person. Therefore there is no use if we trust such work shirkers. We can never get the work done if we do so.

The proverb warns us of a flaw in human working style. Isn’t it?
