ಕನ್ನಡ ಗಾದೆಮಾತು – ಗಂಗಾಳ ತೊಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕು?

ಗಂಗಾಳ ಎಂದರೆ ತಟ್ಟೆ.‌ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಗಂಗಾಳ ಅಂದರೆ ತಟ್ಟೆ ತೊಳೆಯುವುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಅಲ್ಲವೆ? ಈ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಮೀನಮೇಷ ಎಣಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ತಟ್ಟೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ‌ತೊಳೆಯಲು ಸೋಮಾರಿತನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಆ  ದಿನ ಕಳೆಯುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಳೆಯದ ತಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ತುಂಬ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಡುಗೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಟ್ಟೆ ತೊಳೆಯುವುದು ಎಂಬುದು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾಡಿ‌ ಮುಗಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿದೆ. 

Kannada proverb – Gangala tholeyakke Mangalavaara yaake barabeku? ( To wash the dinner plate why are you waiting for Tuesday). This proverb talks of a simple wisdom of daily life.

It is good if we do some things like washing the  dinner plate we ate or making our bed in the morning, quickly and immediately. To finish such small errands, if we keep waiting for the right time, it does not make sense. We do well to understand this. The moral here is what can be done right away, need not be and should not be postponed.
